Wow! It's the last day of May! Where did the month go??? I know I was crazy busy with projects. I managed to bind 5 quilts that had been just chilling out on the sidelines, and I also quilted and bound a quilt that is for sale in my etsy shop. I made a pouch for my mom and my mother in law, finished a quilt top for my son, finished 8 of 9 swoon blocks, and finished the giant starburst that was commissioned. I also managed to finish destroying my iPhone. 😥 2 months ago my son accidentally dropped my phone in the just right way as to smash the screen. It still worked but little pieces would randomly fall off. Well on Tuesday I dropped it, that was it's death knell, the lcd screen....dunzo. I lasted till yesterday (friday) with no phone, yesterday at 1:30 when I myself cracked and called my provider and ordered a new phone which thankfully will be here Monday. Whew, normalcy will return. Between my family, and quilting my phone is just something I can't live without. I do have some pics to post that backed up before the demise of my phone, so here we go, some of my May projects 😃

So there it is, most of my May projects before the demise of my phone (*le snif). Hope June is as great a month.

Well here it is 😃 the last day of 2014. Still trying to finish some outstanding projects before the new year begins. Ok ok yeah I did decide on like Dec 27th to make a baby quilt I really didn't need to make just wanted to. I have one more quilt top to finish piecing and some backing to prep but that's it for 2014 then :) This first one is the baby quilt I just had to make. I love it! It features the gorgeous Miss Kate line from Thimble Blossoms by Bonnie and Camille. It's just so happy 😃  This 2nd one I started oh my goodness back in March 2014 I think. It was only missing the borders so I added them and now this quilt top is done 😃 it's for my son I love it! It features the Vintage Verona line  from Riley Blake. So today I finish one more quilt top and then piece the backing for my mom's quilt and then, well, that's a wrap. Everything else will have to wait for 2015. Well today, is a quiet day, ok well quiet moment. Mr Minion had one surgery today, one minion is at school the other with her Nonna. I thought I would pop on to share some of the quilts I made earlier this year. I am working on a bunch of projects right now, finishing a commissioned baby quilt and teachers gifts. I will post pics of those as they are done. lately I have been working on my WIP's. As quilters we have way too many of these as we often start a new project long before the last one is even close to completion. I have managed though to finish 2 very large projects that I started months ago. This is my supernova quilt (and my puggle) I had to stand way up my stairs to get this pic as this is a huge queen size quilt. I was first inspired to make this one I saw a pic on Instagram in these colours, it was a block made for a charity quilt and I fell in love. Well 2016 was a whirlwind, my first minion started jk and my second started daycare a few days a week. Adjusting to those schedules was interesting but we made it and here we are halfway through 2017! I have been sewing a ton, way more than I can even remember lol hopefully I can post some of interest . This was my first finish of 2016. The giant vintage star, I just love how it turned out it is still one of my very favourite quilts (ok yeah most of them are my favourite ever lol) This Norway quilt is one of my favourites, I used kona solids in Navy, Azure and Graphite. I love using solids in quilts and this turned out fantastic Ah the swoon one of my favourite patterns. This was made for my daughter. I used all Vanessa Christendon fabrics I love her stuff especially her ombre This is a memorial quilt for a dear friend who lost her son.
